WELCOME VISITORS

Welcome guests to Ridgewood Church!
Kindly complete a welcome card and place it in the offering and stop by the Welcome Center in the lobby. You will be greeted by friendly people, receive an information packet about Ridgewood and a coupon for free refreshments at the Café. Our regular Sunday service times are:
9:15am Education Hour (for all ages)
10:30am Worship
Preschool childcare is available both hours

Pine Ridge Mission Team Send-off
All team members please attend a send-off meeting and prayer time on Monday, June 12 at 7:00pm at the church. We’ll review our assignments, have a time of prayer, and enjoy ice cream sundaes. If you have questions, call Tammi Colianni or Barbara Meiss.

Bridal Shower for Lindsey Anderson, daughter of Pastor Dan and Judy Anderson, will be held Thursday, June 15th at 6:30pm in the Fireside Room. Lindsey and her fiancé, Joshua Neumann, are registered at Target, JC Penney, and Sears. Questions? Contact Debbi Luedtke, (952) 474-1045.
There will be no Youth Choir/Orchestra on Wednesdays until June 21.

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES

“Old Fashioned” Sunday Night Singspiration, 5-7pm Sunday, June 11th
Plan to join us next Sunday evening for a “potluck” supper at 5:00pm, followed by a great time of singing old and new favorites led by special guest Dr. Joe Tewinkel, former music director at Wayzata Free Church and faculty member at Crown College. We are asking families with last names beginning with A-G to bring breads, rolls or muffins; H-O main dishes; and P-Z salads. Please bring enough to serve 12, as we are providing supper for our guests from other churches. Dessert will not be served. We encourage you to go out for coffee and dessert or invite a group to your home after the event. If you can help with set-up or clean-up, please call the church office (952)474-0858.

High Energy Worship Nights
If you love worshiping Jesus, like the volume up and the energy high, join us this Wednesday, June 7th at 7:00pm for a great time of celebration aimed at those who are young and young at heart. Bring a picnic supper, lawn chairs or a blanket and celebrate Jesus with contemporary family-friendly (no childcare provided) outdoor worship (weather permitting). These services will be offered each Wednesday night during the month of June.

Child Dedication Service planned for Father’s Day
Father’s Day is Sunday, June 18th. If you would like to have your child dedicated that day, please contact Pastor John Bogle ASAP. This is an opportunity for parents to dedicate their child to the Lord as well as for the congregation to extend its love and support to their families.

Pronto Pups, Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Sno-Cones, Games and More!
at the Family Fun Time Carnival on Sunday, June 18th from noon to 4:00pm at RWC. Treat your dad (Father’s Day), bring the family and your friends for an afternoon of carnival style fun and food. Cost is $4.00 per person and includes unlimited use of games, activities and one Pronto Pup.

Hope to Grow Garden Tour is on Monday, July 17! Bring a friend, mother, daughter or husband and enjoy a morning of touring wonderful local gardens. We visit new gardens each year, and some have never been open to the public. New this year will be musicians in every garden. Brochures are available in the church lobby! Registration is limited, so sign up now.

Parents of college age adults. Please help us reconnect with your sons and daughters. Let them know about the college group meeting this summer. See announcement for college students.

WOMENS MINISTRIES

June Porch Study at Ruth Miller’s Home
Join us in a study of “Nehemiah” with teacher, Sandy McKown, Wednesdays, June 14, 21, and 28th from 9:30 to 11:00am at the home of Ruth Miller.

SWAAT heads to Excelsior!
SWAAT (senior single women action adventure team) will leave church at noon this Thursday, June 8th to go to Excelsior for lunch, a trolley ride, and a visit to the Farmer’s Market. We will return to church about 3:00pm. For more information, contact Pat Peterson (952) 933-2605.

Joy on the Journey! Join us for a glorious day at the Minnesota Arboretum Tuesday, June 20, 9:00am to 2:30pm. Enjoy the fun and fellowship of good friends and a day of inspiration with author Betsy Lee and recording artist Mary Beth Carlson. Our theme: "Joy on the Journey!" Invite your girlfriends, moms, sisters and neighbors. Registration fee is $20 Early bird registration: $15 before June 10 and special group rate $15/person for five or more. Reserve a flowerpot lunch ($10 extra), bring a picnic lunch or dine in the cafeteria. Attending the event admits you free to the Arboretum that day (a $7 value).

Library Work Day

Reach & Restore “Life Preservers” Needed
Reach & Restore is in immediate need of another “Life Preserver”. Reach & Restore clients would love to meet someone who will listen and be a friend to them. If you are interested in becoming a “Life Preserver” now or in the near future, please call Ronda Oliver at (952) 933-1393. God is using us to be rays of hope for Him in our community!

Fleece blankets for babies
Do you enjoy working with fabric? Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to a mission trip without actually going? Here is an opportunity for you! The Pine Ridge Mission Team is making fleece tie blankets for the newborn babies at Pine Ridge Hospital, as well as for a few of the native families we are “adopting” during our trip. No experience required. We will be meeting Tuesday, June 6th at 6:30pm in Room 200 (downstairs). What to bring? It’s optional, but you may wish to bring 21/2 yards of fleece for each blanket you wish to make. If you have questions, please call Tammi Colianni (952) 472-7758 or Barbara Meiss (952) 446-1363.

Friendly folks wanted!
If you have a passion to serve the Lord by greeting others a few weeks a year, please let me know as I am putting together the greeter schedule for the next twelve months. No special skill required - just a warm smile and a welcoming handshake. Please contact Judy Clark at the Welcome Center.

Can you help with these items which are needed for My First Camp?
40+ small margarine containers, washed
40+ pint water bottles, labels removed
Large appliance box (refrigerator or similar size)
If you have any of the small items and wish to donate them, please place them in a bag, indicate ‘”My First Camp” and bring to the church. Please call Krista Joy Olson, (952) 474-0858, to arrange for drop off of the appliance box.

Preschool Summer Help Needed
Parents are asked to serve two hours during the summer. Volunteers may sign up at the children's booth. Other interested individuals are also welcome to sign up! No preparation required. Just show up and serve, all will be set up for you!

COLLEGE AGE ADULTS

We want you to reconnect with your peers and to our church. Come for free coffee and donuts on Sundays from 9:15-10:15am in the Fireside Room. This will be a time to visit and reconnect with friends. We love you all and have missed you while you were away. It is great to have you back. ~ Pastor John

BRIDGE EVENTS – Bridges meet at 9:15am on Sunday mornings

Summer is just around the corner!
The Adult Education Hour will be held in the Sanctuary during June:
• June 11, 18, and 25 – Dr. Peter Vogt from Bethel Seminary will be discussing sexuality, intimacy, and homosexuality.
The Ambassador Bridge will be studying the Psalms, led by Dr. David Howard from Bethel, on June 11, 18, and 25 – all adults are welcome.

Foundations Bridge is going to the St. Paul Saints Game July 30th, 2006
Game time is 4:05pm, or come early for some tailgating at 2:00pm. For tickets and more information, contact Jen Ness (952) 476-2866. RSVP by June 10.

JR HIGH MINISTRIES (students grades 6-8)

High Energy Worship starts this week, Wednesday, June 7! Join us at 7pm on the hillside for a night of awesome worship and encouraging one another! Bring a blanket, some friends and a heart of worship!

My 1st Camp -- all counselors have training on June 21st from 4:30-6:30. Join us for dinner and High Energy Worship after training.

Dig Deep: We will meet in the sanctuary for Sunday school on June 11, 18 & 25. Dr. Vogt is an awesome professor from Bethel Seminary who will be teaching us for 3 weeks.

SR HIGH MINISTRIES (students grades 9-12)

Sr. High meets at RWC this summer
Wednesday summer schedule starts on this week on June 7th. Meet at Ridgewood Church for a high energy worship experience and interactive teaching time outdoors (weather permitting). Activities for hanging out and such will follow in the youth room including video and board games.

Day Camp Training Part II is tonight from 6-8:30pm. Eat before you come or bring a bag supper. If you missed Day Camp Training Part I, you need to borrow the video from Martha Keenan, watch it and do the activities that you missed on the provided worksheets. Set-up is immediately after church on June 11th and is mandatory.

Welcome new 9th graders to Sr. High!

Last Wave: the Final Chapter is July 29-31.The cost is $100 from now until June 11th. After that the cost is $120 until the registration deadline Sunday, June 25th. This will be a reunion year and will include college and career age as well as Sr. High. This will be the last year of Last Wave so don’t miss it!

SONSHINE CHILDRENS AND FAMILY MINISTRY

DVDs of the kids’ musical, may be picked up in Martha Keenan’s office.
