At Ridgewood Church we believe missions are for everybody. Whether you pray, give, or go
(maybe all three!), there is a way for you to be a part of fulfilling the Great Commission. Here
are a few suggestions to get you started:
PRAY!
PRAYER FIRST Partnership
Praying for Missionaries & Mission Organizations
Ridgewood Church supports more than 30 individual missionaries and mission related organizations.
It is our belief, in accordance with God’s Word, that we can accomplish nothing of eternal value unless we “pray first” seeking God’s guidance and will in all things.
I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. ~ John 15:5 ~ NIV
As a Prayer First Partner, you are invited to choose a missionary prayer partner – make it your own personal mission! You will receive updates by email or hard copy from “your” missionary. These updates will include prayer requests that will inform you how to pray specifically and in partnership with “your” missionary.
Our missionaries have told us how important this foundation of prayer is to them and the work they do to bring the Gospel to the whole world. Here is a snippet from a recent prayer letter from Greg and Mary Pearson, translators in Papua New Guinea:
“We ask for your continued prayers and we know God goes with us, is for us, and is in all things. Thank you so much for standing with us. Your prayers and support encourage us day by day.”

Financial Support for Missions through Faith Promise Giving
Members of Ridgewood Church are encouraged to support missions through regular, intentional and planned giving to our Faith Promise Budget. We believe Scripture directs us in this:
A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord. ~ Leviticus 27:30 ~
For your convenience, we offer you two ways to give to missions:
1. Use an offering envelope! There is a place on the preprinted offering envelope for you to designate the amount you wish to give to Faith Promise/Missions. If you need offering envelopes, please contact Brad Morris, Financial Secretary.
2. Automatic withdrawal from your checking/savings account is also available. This assures your offering will be received even if you are away from home. Short Term Mission Opportunities
Ridgewood Church desires to pray for, train, send and support short term missionaries as well as those whom God leads into fulltime career missions. Several opportunities are offered each year for students, adults and entire families to participate in local as well as global mission trips. The Mission Leadership Team of RWC desires to support through prayer and financial assistance, when possible, the efforts of those who choose to serve as short term missionaries.
