The goal of Women's Ministries is to draw women closer to God through the study of His Word, and closer to one another through friendships centered on Christ.
There’s a new “thing” coming to Ridgewood Church for women! In fact, it’s called “The Third Thursday Thing!” We don’t want to give away too many details about “The Thing,” but invite a friend, neighbor, or co-worker to join you at “The Thing” on Thursday, February 16, at the home of Mavis Heupel from 7:00-9:00pm! Come casual and enjoy light refreshments. We think you will be delighted with “The Thing!!!”(Contact the church office for the address - firstname.lastname@example.org)
Need a Break? Moms, wives, grandmas, single women, married women, young women, middle age women, older women – all women need a break sometimes, and especially after the Christmas and New Year holidays! Pack an overnight bag and join a fun group of women as we “retreat” to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Plymouth for an affordable retreat Friday-Saturday, February 24th-25th. Day only and overnight options available. For details and to register, stop at the table in the lobby or visit www.donnastundahl.com to register online. Registration ends Friday, January 27th.
Ridgewood offers a Women's Bible Study that is open to all women, including friends and neighbors, of all ages. They meet September - May, on Wednesdays from 9:15-11:00am. Topics vary throughout the year. For questions, contact Pastor Susie Thompson.
Come meet some women you don’t have an opportunity to connect with during the regular “ministry year,” as well as to catch up with others whom you know well. Please bring a salad or dessert to share. Check back for the dates of our 2017 SSSS.
In addition to Bible studies, RWC Women’s Ministries offers special occasional events throughout the year such as our Annual Christmas Tea, a “shower” to restock our church kitchen, Summer Sisters Salad Suppers, opportunities to hear well-known speaker/teachers, and the opportunity to enjoy a weekend getaway each September at Women’s Retreat, held at Trout Lake Camp.
Are you a Mother of a Preschooler? If so, please join us for MOPS every other Thursday morning (September - May) from 9:15-11:15am. For more information, visit our Ridgewood MOPS website: RidgewoodMOPS.com. Questions? Please email Becca Soderberg or call her at (952) 856-7350.
For over ten years, a group of RWC knitters have made and donated more than 300 prayer shawls to those who are ill, grieving, or going through difficult life challenges. If you’d like to know more about how you can become involved with this ministry, would like to request a prayer shawl for someone, or would like to donate materials, please email Una Ireland or call Una at (952) 448-3160.
Are you creative and/or have an interest in hospitality? Ridgewood’s Hospitality Volunteers keep busy planning, promoting, preparing, and decorating for special events, as well as make sure that our building is tastefully maintained and well-appointed.
