On this page you will find information about our weekly times together, special events, and even a medical release so you can sign up for our next big event. REACH
 |
Student Impact meets:
Sundays weekly at Ridgewood Church in the gym at 9:15 for worship and an in depth look at what God has to say to Christian students about Loving God, Loving Others and Making Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Sunday mornings weekly for a celebration service with the rest of the Ridgewood Community beginning at 10:30.
Wednesday Night Small Groups doors open at 6:15 at Northern Oaks Community Church (a shuttle is available from Ridgewood at 6:30) for hanging out before Student Impact BEGINS at 7:15. Come early and hang out in the gym, play some video games, do homework in a quiet room or just connect with friends. Worship and large group time is followed by small groups where we investigate our faith and our understanding of God while connecting with each other. Student Impact ENDS at 9:00 but people hang out as late as 10:00 most nights. You should get picked up at Northern Oaks. |
Retreats: We frequently have special events that vary from weekend retreats to fun events in the Twin Cities. These events take place throughout the year and provide opportunities to hang out with friends, meet new people and have some FUN! (see activities above)
GROW
 |
Small Groups: Wednesday night, 7pm - 9pm. We want students to connect to each other and to God in small groups. Students meet as a large group for worship and Bible teaching. Small groups follow our large group time and focus on applying the truths just discussed. It is also a time for deepening relationships and to pray with and for each other.

H.A.B.I.T.S.
Hang time with God
Accountability with another believer
Bible memorization
Involvement with the church body
Tithing commitment
Study the Bible
Habits are those things we do over and over again, sometimes without even thinking about them. Spiritually, we all need to develop some habits in order to grow deeper in their most important relationships (1) with God, and (2) with others. Here are six H.A.B.I.T.S. we believe students need to be doing on their own (put in no particular order of priority).
Habit #1: Hang Time with God Quiet Time. Take time daily to connect with God authentically. Hear what the Bible says about God and you.
Habit #2: Accountable Relationship with Another Believer. Share your heart with at least one other person who knows you well. Pray together weekly. Ask each other about how you are doing with your H.A.B.I.T.S.
Habit #3: Bible Memorization. See Pastor John for a list of some of the best/recommended verses to memorize.
Habit #4: Involvement in the Church Body. Beyond Student Impact is Ridgewood Church. It is crucial to begin developing the habit of being involved with the church in a variety of ways, so when you graduate from Student Impact you dont just drop the church. Students who serve in the church, stay in the church. Roll up your sleeves and get involved.
Habit #5: Tithing Commitment. God desires all of me which includes my money ( being a steward of what He has given me). It is all His anyway. We believe that it is important to learn to tithe (give 10%) to the local church where you attend. Also, join us in supporting a Compassion project in a Costa Rica orphanage and care center for children.
Habit #6: Study Scripture. Study it on your own or with a friend. Get involved in Student Impact studies and/or get involved with groups such as Student Venture of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
How do you get these H.A.B.I.T.S.? First, decide which H.A.B.I.T.S you want to develop first. Talk with your small group leader about them. Tell Pastor John what you are doing so he can encourage you.
