Son-Shine Children's & Family Ministries
Our Vision Statement:
Son-Shine Children's Ministries exist to guide and nurture children to be God centered, Bible Believing, Prayer Dependent, Service Oriented children that surrender their lives to the grace of Jesus in salvation and enjoy Him forever.
We Value:
We believe in the words of the Apostles Creed and teach these truths. ~Acts 2:22-24; 1Peter 3:18-22
Children are a gift from God; therefore we value the life of each and every child. ~Psalm 127:3
The Bible teaches that God is knitting together a wondrous creation in the womb; therefore we value children before they are born. ~Psalm 139:13
We value the Biblical role of the parent in the home and seek to aid and compliment that role with teachings from the church.
~3 John 1:4
We value the intentional instruction of the Word of God; therefore we value the Education Hour as a time to explore and dig deep into the truths of Scripture. ~2 Timothy 3:16
We value those that volunteer and sacrifice time and energy to create the model and live out the vision and goal of the Childrens Ministry at Ridgewood Church. ~Colossians 1:9-12
We have a variety of programs for children:

Son-Beams Nursery
We welcome you and your child to our nursery. We are staffed by expert nursery coordinators who serve regularly with the help of capable volunteers.
Upon arriving, the nursery coordinator will be there to help you with the following routine:
Fill out the sign-in sheet available on the counter, with instructions.
Label your diaper bag. (Please make sure all items in your diaper bag are marked.)
Hang your child's wraps on a coat hook outside the nursery area.
You will reveive a card with a corresponding number to your child to return and pick up on time.
Pagers are available upon request for your child's safety. The parent that brings the child to the nursery should be the same parent that picks that child up.
A room is available for you in the rear of the baby nursery if you desire privacy to feed your baby.

Bible Memory is a vital part of our Sunday morning classstime
These commandments that I give today are to be
upon your hearts.
Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk
along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Our staff would love to work together with the families to learn the verses that support our curriculum. Please help your child work on these verses at home so we can present them in the worship service at the end of the year. ~Martha Keenan~
